Why do we use Olive Oil as the base for our skincare?
Olive Oil has both detoxifying and anti-ageing benefits. It blocks and fights free radicals, helping to reduce the look of fine lines and keep skin youthful.
Rich in glycolipids and phytosterols, Olive Oil has the highest compatibility with our own skin as the chemical composition is very similar. It spreads and lubricates exceptionally well and leaves a non-oily soft, rich feel on the skin as it deeply hydrates.
Rich in both natural Vitamin E and Vitamin K, Olive Oil helps to replenish moisture loss resulting in restored flexibility and suppleness. It also assists in UV ray protection, and neutralizes the oxidant effect of free radicals that damage collagen and cause skin dryness and wrinkles. It helps rejuvenate cells, improves the look of scars and soothes damaged skin.
Where does our Olive Oil come from?
Our olives are grown, harvested and processed in Australia. When we harvest the olives, we process them on site using the cold press method.
The olive oil produced in Australia is of premium quality and is strictly regulated by Australian Government Standards. Australian olive growers must comply with standards when labelling products, so we are always confident of the quality of the Extra Virgin Olive Oil we use for our range of products.
What makes our products so special?
All our products contain our Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and are 100% natural. They are gentle cleansers and moisturisers that nourish the skin and improve skin resilience.
Our products are all formulated and made in Australia, using only ingredients from a sustainable resource.
Do our products contain any ‘nasties’?
No! Our product range is free from sodium laurel sulphate, palm oil, petrochemicals, parabens, additives or preservatives of any kind.
Our products are cruelty free, vegan and are not tested on animals.
What makes our hard bar soap different from the others?
Using our special formula and traditional cold process soap making method, our hard bar soaps are hand crafted and take a full 12 weeks to create.
Our pure, unscented soap is 100% Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and forms the basis for our full range of soaps that contain either essential oils or a botanical component. For example, our goats’ milk soap is 70% Extra Virgin Olive Oil and 30% goats milk.
With olive oil as a base, our hard bar soaps, they are very long lasting provided they are drained well between uses. Ideally, they last up to two or three times longer than other commercial soaps.
What are the benefits of our Balm?
Our Original Soothing Balm is 100% natural with absolutely no additives or preservatives. It is ideal for the nourishment of dry and irritated skin, it can also be applied to bites, rashes, burns and stings. It soothes and calms the skin whilst it deeply hydrates and restores.
In addition to our Original Soothing Balm, we have created two scented balms - Lemon Scented Tea Tree and Blue Mallee Eucalyptus. Both balms are vibrant and richly scented with the essential oils of these two Australian natives and can be used to soothe and revive.
